Incorporated in 1911, Federal Dam is located along the Leech River, near the Leech Lake dam on the northeast side of Leech Lake.
Read more »The village of Federal Dam began as a railroad town. It was the terminal or division point for the trains going from Superior, Wisconsin to Federal Dam and from Thief River Falls to Federal Dam.
Read more »Federal Dam City Hall is temporarily closed due to demolition/remodeling. There will be no office hours on Thursdays until further notice. The next regular city council meeting is February 10 at 6:00 P.M. in the garage part of the city hall.
